PHASE I (January-April 2010) Assessment
• Fundraising efforts to support the needs of Salema
• Site visit to Salema (Conducted by Sierra Leoneans who are respected within the Salema community) to discuss with the community the current opportunities that have surfaced due to the generosity of many.
• Consultation with the village community on current priority areas (Clinic, School, Community Water Well/Pump); discuss and listen to other areas of concern that arise from the voices of the villagers.
• Assessment of priority areas (agreed upon by the collective voices of the village members) as to specific




PHASE II (May –August 2010) Implementation
• Development of objectives and budget to reach the intended goals
• Identification of materials and personnel to implement activities
• Establishment of time frame to achieve goals
• Implementation of agreed upon priority areas




PHASE III (October –December 2010) Monitoring and Evaluation
• Monitoring and Evaluation of funded projects

• Remoteness of the village
• Weather- particularly the rainy season within this region of West Africa (roads can become impassable due to flooding)
• Availability of supplies in the local area to purchase in order to implement the priority areas.
